Our Mission

Precision genomic surveillance of common and emerging pathogens

The Mount Sinai Pathogen Surveillance Program (MS-PSP) applies the latest genomics technologies to track bacterial, viral, and fungal infections in near real-time and provides a framework for tracking and preventing costly nosocomial outbreaks. To this end we have assembled a unique team of experts at the intersection of basic and clinical science, microbiology, genomic sciences, hospital operations, biobanking, genomics, big data analytics, bioinformatics, clinical informatics, biostatistics, computer, computational and data science.
